The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) is a once-ina-generation investment in the future of our country. Historic funding from BIL willcreate millions of jobs, modernize our Nation’s infrastructure, combat the climate crisis, and put us on a path to winning the 21st century.

As of February 2023, $2.6 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding has been announced and is headed to Maryland with over 44 specific projects identified for funding. Since the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed, Maryland will receive approximately $2.3 billion for transportation to invest in roads, bridges, public transit, ports and airports and roughly $144 million for clean water. And, as of today, more than 182,000 households across the state are receiving affordable high-speed internet due to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

The Inflation Reduction Act

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) a historic climate and health care bill, contains many incentives to help people and communities make the change to clean energy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving access to health care and restoring overburdened communities to good health.

The Act contains incentives for home efficiency, heat pumps, electric vehicles, home solar and battery storage, and more. The law will directly reduce inflation, lowering costs for American families on everything from energy to healthcare.
